Labour’s Pledges For Alton and Beyond

We will:
✓ Listen to your views, keep you informed and be a strong voice for all Alton residents at Westminster and locally

✓ Ensure the housing needs of local people are met. A Labour government will build genuinely affordable, safe and energy efficient homes, linking affordability to local incomes and building 100,000 council houses and 50,000 housing trust homes a year nationally

✓ End the large use of the foodbank in Eastbrooke and Wooteys and lift children, pensioners and working families out of poverty

✓ Kick start a green industrial revolution by shifting to renewable energy, investing in rail and electric cars and creating a million climate jobs across the country

✓ Give the NHS the funding it needs and end privatisation

✓ Create a national education service, which will include fully funded schools with smaller class sizes and free university education

✓ Bring rail, mail, water and energy into public ownership to end the great privatisation rip off

✓ Bring in a real living wage of £10 an hour for all workers
